Did you know that the life Senator Jen Metzger saves may be your own? Thanks to her, the Wallkill Valley Ambulance Corps will get $50,000 to help pay for a new emergency vehicle. The Wallkill Fire District will get its own $50,000 to buy a generator. Among other benefits the generator will allow the firehouse to serve as a shelter in an emergency. The money comes, not from taxpayers, but from a State and Municipal Facilities Grant.
